Well so far we are on our third pool for this summer. I first got a smaller 5’x5′ square inflatable pool. We had one like it a couple of summers ago and the size was just right for the baby dogs. It’s even big enough for a one person seat type float. This square pool had three ring levels that held air, only the bottom one deflated within 24 hours. Though I tried to blow it back up again, it was just not holding the air.
I bought another inflatable pool. This one was also three layers. It was 9’x9′ octagon shaped and very big for my tiny rental back yard. The very next morning that bottom ring was flat. I tried to blow it back up, but as you can imagine, that big of a pool with that much water weight in it, it was a chore and you guesses it, it too did not hold the air. Luckily enough the store took it back and refunded my money. I did not want another one, though I’d bought these 2 pools from 2 different stores and different brands as well.
Last night we received the third pool but this time I purchased a different kind, the kind you put the water inside, fill it up, as it rises, a Quick Set. It’s 6′ round and 20″ deep. I’ve had this type of pool before only on a much larger level and the issues with it are; if a tree limb, small or large falls on that top blow up ring, the pool will be history and you certainly can’t drain it quickly enough if you can’t live with the unevenness of the ground underneath.
So wish us luck this third time around. The babies and of course, I myself love having a pool, taking a dip on those Hot Georgia Summer Days.
HAPPY SUMMER TO ALL!
P.S. I’ll be combining Need to Know Tips on Real Estate too, in the near future. Just wanted to give a heads up. I believe all will be interested. After all, I’m sick of a Landlord telling me the number of baby dogs I can have, ever!. So I’m becoming a home owner within the year verses a home renter. (after all living in a distressed property and paying rent is the pits).
